Your files, handled clearly.

Where processing happens
PDF, image, audio, and video tools upload files to the private workspace origin and process them on the server. Public-page scripts cannot read those files or the workspace session cookie. JSON to CSV, CSV to JSON, JSON formatting, and text encoding run on your device in a browser worker and do not upload the content.
Retention and deletion
Completed server input files, outputs, and previews expire after one hour. Cleanup runs every five minutes. You can request deletion immediately using “Delete files now”; this revokes access and removes the job artifacts. Operational job metadata expires after seven days. Abandoned uploads and temporary scratch files are cleaned automatically.
Guest ownership
A host-only workspace cookie identifies your guest session and protects your job list and downloads. It is required for server conversion; no account is created. Losing or clearing this cookie may prevent you from accessing previous jobs.
Local preferences
Pinned tool IDs, recent tool IDs, theme choice, and saved settings are stored locally in your browser. Preferences never contain uploaded bytes or pasted text. Clear them on the Help page. Local conversion content and results disappear when the tab is closed.
Analytics and advertisements
When configured, Umami records page visits and allowlisted events such as conversion start, completion, failure, and download with a tool ID. We do not send filenames, content, session identifiers, job identifiers, or download tokens to product analytics. Conversion works when analytics is blocked. Advertising slots are disabled by default; enabling a real advertising vendor requires an updated consent configuration and policy.
Operational records
Restricted diagnostics contain job counts, converter IDs, processing times, queue state, storage usage, and safe errors. They do not contain file contents. Short-lived display names exist in private guest job state to help you find your outputs.
Your choices
Use local text tools for content that must not leave your device. Delete server files after downloading, avoid uploading highly sensitive content unless you accept server processing, and clear local preferences on shared devices.
